YOGA THERAPY SESSIONS
Individual Yoga Therapy is a powerful tool for taming chronic conditions.
What happens in a Yoga Therapy session?
You complete a set of forms for the session so that I can learn abour your needs.
Once clear on our direction I will help you get comfortable in a restorative posture.
Restorative postures are done lying on your yoga mat with the body supported to create greater ease and awareness.
After the Restorative posture, I will take you through a breath assessment to determine how the breath is moving.
This is important as the breath carries the energy of Being as it moves through the body.
Following the breath assessment you will be guided through a few selected postures.
As you experience the postures, I will ask you to remain aware of how you are in your body by asking a few open ended questions about your experience.
When the physical postures are complete, you will be invited to participate in a meditation or guided imagery practice to help you integrate the day's practice.
At the end of each session there will be time to ask questions, choose practices you feel would be helpful in between sessions and to set up your next appointment.
